Important Information

Visas

A visa is required for travel to Vietnam. A person must hold a valid visa, a visa exemption document or a written approval letter for a visa on arrival. It is strongly advised that travellers do not opt for the 'visa on arrival' approval letter due to recent cases of scams, and instead it is recommended that a visa is obtained through the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam.

Vietnam has recently introduced an online information portal containing visa information, including which type of visa you should apply for: visa.mofa.gov.vn/Homepage.aspx
There is also an application form which you can complete online, print and take to the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam.

Cambodia:
A visa is required when travelling to Cambodia and can be purchased on arrival. The cost of this is approximately USD $30 per person and you will be required to bring a passport photo with you as well. Please note that it is important that is plenty of space left in the passport, as a Cambodian visa alone takes up one page.
