Please be informed that the Balearic Parliament has introduced a Sustainable Tourism Tax which will be applicable to all clients staying in Majorca. This applies to any person 16 years or older on the day of arrival and staying at any type of accommodation. The tax is charged per person per night at the following rate: 5-star and 4-star superior hotels and 4 key apartments: ?4, 4 star and 3-star superior hotels and 3 key superior apartments: ?3, 1, 2 and 3-star hotels and 1, 2 and 3 key apartments: ?2. During the winter season (1st November - 30th April) a 75% discount will apply to these rates. Long stays will also be discounted by 50% after the 9th day. VAT will apply to the tax at 10%.
